Does anyone know roughly how long HMRC are taking to process inhertitance tax at the moment please? Also, what is the timeline for the current process? I can only find old articles.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Probably depends on whether or not you filed online.1

No - we were unable to as we had to provide lots of other documents so everything was sent to them via post. I know they have received it.0

Being realistic, you are looking at several months as a minimum. There are delays with physical mail, both in terms of delivering it to HMRC, having it 'safely collected' and then actually opening and processing it.0

Thanks. I know they have it as they have sent the original death certificate back to us. Was just wondering as our solicitors advised they were hearing back within about 3 weeks but who knows at the moment.0
