I got this email this morning from PRA group after asking for the CCA on the account. It’s not on my credit file as it is over 10years old. Not sure what I’m meant to do? I have offered a short settlement and they will not accept one? Can anyone help please. I am with a DMP and they say they can’t help either. Thanks
Thank you for your email.
Currently your account is classified as unenforceable, which means we are not able to take legal action to recover the balance. The debt is still legally owed and we will continue to contact you and report to the credit reference agencies (where appropriate). It is possible for your account to become enforceable in future, if we receive the appropriate paperwork from the original creditor – we will make you aware if this becomes the case.

It means you don't need to pay anything towards the debt until such time as it becomes enforceable.0

why write to them , they are snookered , they cannot produce correct docuaments to continue
YES , they will conntinue to write to you , "begging" for money , but untill the correct paperwork turns up , they are ,,,,,,,,,,,,, snookered , as in they cannot enforce any legal action
you say 10 yrs old you say "not on credit file" , happy days then
the "moral people"on here may say " you owe them money , you should pay it"
you have made an offer to pay , they have declined , so that should shut the moralists up1 -
The account has become unenforceable, though you remain liable for it. This means they can send you a statement every six months or so. In the meantime you do not need to do anything or pay anything until such time as they can provide you with a 'true copy' of your agreement.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
