Uber Eats - what should I do

Last week I ordered McDonalds via Uber Eats for our whole office (this was on the last day McDonalds were open.) I had a 50% off coupon from Uber Eats which I applied - it didn't seem to take so I applied it again and it said "this coupon has already been applied."
On delivery one item was missing and the 50% off had not been applied.
I have complained to Uber Eats and they have refused to refund me for the missing item, stating "It is essential for us to stay within our company policy to ensure fair customer support is provided to everyone using our app. For this reason, and for the reasons previously outlined, we will be unable to offer you a refund, or compensation in this instance." which seems absolutely ridiculous, and they have refused to refund me for the 50% coupon that didn't get applied because "it was 'subject to availability'"
Do I have any rights here? This seems to be basically theft?

As for the voucher, I can't see you getting anywhere with it unless you have screenshots of every stage showing you correctly applied the voucher and that therefore the problem was a technical one their end.1 -
You knew the voucher didn't apply but still went ahead with the order. You stand zero chance of getting anywhere with that.
As for the missing item, you can keep trying. But personally I would just let it go.
If it was a few items then thats a different matter.1 -
What is today's date ??

You're right, the concept of instant delivery (by car) of junk food in an era of increasing obesity, poor diet, high pollution and lack of exercise is a ridiculously far-fetched one. Should have spotted it.

It's only about £3 for the missing item and around £12 for the voucher - the money really doesn't worry me. It's the principle that really gets my goat, how dare they fail to deliver and then just say "oh, tough, you'll still have to pay for it" - I find that totally unacceptable.0

Just don't use them again - even if you did, you could encounter the same or a similar problemIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

£15. Personally I'd drop it and not use them again. It's not as if they have a monopoly or it's an essential service.0
