Notifications to Creditors while the virus restrictions apply

Just had this from the Official Receiver

NOTIFICATIONS TO CREDITORS:

Around 80% of creditors receive notification of a DRO by e-mail and while our office is closed there is no change to the process for inputting creditor details in the application please continue as usual.

Creditors who are not normally notified by e-mail will not receive notification of DROs when they are made.  Notifications will be sent to these creditors when we are able to send them by post.

This will mean some creditors will not be aware of a DRO and may contact the debtor.  Where this happens debtors have been told:

If you are contacted by any of your creditors, please email them a copy of the DRO.

If you are unable to do this, please:

• refer them to the Individual Insolvency Register: https://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/ which holds details of your DRO or
• ask them to email the DRO Team at DRO.Unit@insolvency.gov.uk
