If you no longer work for the previous employer, and do not yet work for the new employer, you are sadly just unemployed. It will be universal credit and any other benefits only I'm afraid.1

Not good time, I never claimed benefits do u know how much it is ?0

Providing you don't have savings of more than £16,000 then it's Universal Credit. Do be aware that if you're claiming tax credits this will end once you claim UC and you won't be able to go back onto tax credits. What you're entitled to will depend on your circumstances and a benefits calculator is a good place to start.

Need some help please. My son is a second year student at university. He was ill previously to lock down and has extenuating circumstances. He needs to hand in assignments, do resits for previous exams and sit his new exams. We are getting no where with his uni. Can we claim back for this year if he defers?0

If you were employed by your last employer on the 28th feb, you can ask them to take you back on & put you on furlough, so you will get 80% of your wage. They are not guaranteed to say yes though0
