I forgot that I had a skyscanner alert set up for november for Portugal. Since none of us have a crystal ball, shall i book cheap flights or wait? If skyscanner are still offering deals, not sure i'll be protected even though got travel insurance! It 8months away, surely things would be better by then?

Travel insurance wouldn't cover you for Coronavirus related cancellations on new bookings, however most airlines are offering flexible bookings so you can rebook if needed. Note that may be limited to one rebooking, to a date of travel up to one year after the date you bought the tickets. You'd also need to pay any increase in price too.0

At the moment, nobody knows.
OH's employer is planning to operate a full schedule from 1 May, Ryanair are closed for longer for new bookings. I'd have thought that by November the bulk of issues will be sorted out, however there's no guarantee that this will be the case.
It's up to you whether you wish to risk it or not.💙💛 💔0
