Good news for all those worried about shop subscriptions:

Bad news for those of us who closed our shops 2 days ago- I'm just reading all the T and Cs to see if I can reopen it tomorrow and then immediately opt in to the fee waiver scheme and immediately put my holiday settings on. It says in the T and Cs 'have an eBay shop subscription on the 28th of March 2020.' , I actually closed mine on the 28th , arghhhh

~~~
To relieve some of the pressure due to the changing circumstances around COVID-19, we’ll now refund your shop subscription fees if you have to shut down your eBay shop for an extended period of time.
For April or May, or both, if you turn on your holiday settings and hide all fixed price listings between 1 and 25 of a calendar month, eBay will credit back that month’s shop subscription. If you turn on holiday settings and hide all fixed price listings for 13 days or more between 1 and 25 of a calendar month, but not the full period, eBay will credit you 50% of the month’s subscription.
    Just in case anyone, like me has already closed their shop then the bad news is that you can't cancel the closure. In my case it shows as still open until 31st march (tonight) and I cannot change that, according to ebay CS after midnight it will change to show that i don't have a shop, at that point I can try re subscribing and then opting in to this waiver. Then immediately putting the shop on holiday settings.
    They can't guarantee that it will work. I'll try it tomorrow and report back, or else watch the community boards to see if anyone else has a suggestion.
  • I too did the same as was worried about when I was going to be billed for the following month and wasn't sure if it was the end of month or sooner so just decided to close the shop and delist items as and when I had time a couple of days ago. I'm pretty disappointed aswell as ebay left this a little to close for me to gamble on whether they were going to introduce some form of help or on the other hand offer nothjng then I would end up stuck paying next month's fees because it was left too late.
