    Yeah you could put it in NS&I but Tildaplum isn't quite right - that won't give you complete peace of mind.

    If the major banks crumble then the government probably will too and your money will be worthless wherever it is, under the mattress in fivers, bitcoins or premium bonds.

    I'm not worried about that as it's pointless - just spread your risk.

    Totally agree with this. In particular, I find the Daily Mail an absolutely abominable publication, feeding on and amplifying peoples fears, not just about the virus  itself, but also it's possible repercussions on society.
