Hotel said wait 8 weeks for refund

As this is how long it takes for their supplier to refund. Booked through alpharooms.

If you talk to your credit card they'll tell you to wait anyway.
Normal timescales are out of the window currently. There might be a middleman between alpharooms and the hotel itself so it might be Hotel -> Middleman -> alpharooms -> You. Each link in the chain is probably dealing with a lot more refunds/requests than normal.0
