provider switch whilst UK is in Lockdown
Options
Hi I am looking for some opinions-I am considering changing my supplier of electricity from Scottish Power to Green Network Energy, because better value and no insistence on having a smart meter. I am a little concerned about an efficient switch with companies being short staffed and the stability of G.N.E because they are an Italian company. What do you think ??

Its no more than a billing and database swap .

If you don't switch you won't save. If the new company goes bust you should get any credit back sooner or later. Best not to allow any significant credit to build up, or find a supplier that offers variable direct debit.1

I've recently started a switch from OVO to Octopus, seems to be proceeding normally.1

Most suppliers have (fully?) automated the process, so there's no reason not to switch now.
