It has been hard, especially for DH but a nice weekend - although after an hour of subtracting fractions this morning with a child who has number dyslexia I'm ready for her to go homecathybird said:
Sounds like a lovely thing to do - that must have been hard xxbloomfelt said:Day 3 for me - although after 2 weeks of not being able to see dsd because hubby is still working her mum has now relented and we get to have her for the weekend so tomorrow may well be a spend day and celebrate by a family movie night with a new sky movie
i resorted to using vitamin tablets (whole numbers) & grains of rice (fractions) to help explain it - i will be spending the week researching different ways to explain it, as I am math teacher for the foreseeable future being the only parent out of 4 who doesn't struggle with math. Good job I am also (normally) very patient.
On a NSD front saturday was a spend day although not on a film as expected (thanks Disney+ free trial) but on Aldi middle aisle when I went in to get milk and bread. Yesterday however was an NSD bringing me to 4 so farJanuary NSD8/102 -
Gem - have you seen the camping in your garden events on FB - if you're a member of the women in campervans group, there tend to be updates on there. I often just sit in my van and have a cuppa if I can't get out! I'm currently blitzing mine ready for when I can go out... and if I have to wait until winter, then I'll just have to get my heater workingMoneysavingmadGem said:Jammydodger I'm well jealous, used to have 12 hens when I was in the countryside! Double yokers couple times too and the cakes were always amazing. Good luck and watch out for mites!
Day 4 nsd yesterday.
Not sure about today as I need to get some bits to work on the camper ready for next mot. Gutted I bought it in Jan and not gone out for a weekend yet, was meant to be first weekend away in it over Easter. Hey ho, the money saved I can use to give her some tlc!!!
Stay safe everyone!
Hi all... can't believe we're on 6th already! I managed to not spend anything on Sat & Sun - completely forgot and bought a petrol station snack on Friday
. Think I managed Wed & Thurs too... so 4 days?! I'll go back and check...

Well done bloomfelt, Van Girl and jammy dodger

I haven't got a van, but have always thought the idea of just taking off in one on a long journey sounded very freeing

I know I'm late to the party but can I sign up for 20 NSDs.
I'm in the house working, pay for my online yoga monthly and have a weekly beer order so there are limited chances to spend. I've got to have a chance this month. Surely!
So far I have had NSDs on Thursday and Friday 2 NSDs.
Had a magnum today on the way home after my cycle ride so not today!
