  • Well had a lazy day yesterday. Resulting in a takeaway but wasn't me that ought it so a nsd yesterday for me!
However, spendy day today. Car won't start and can't jump start because battery is under the drivers seat in the car and parked awkwardly, soo battery charger on the way, but good tool to keep in garage. Us bought set of 2 tier steps to be able to wash the van! Otherwise I can't reach the roof lol. Hoping next weekend will be sunny to be able to wash and clean van through ready for the summer......

Well done Van Girl, doingitanyway, MoneysavingmadGem and jammy dodger It was beautiful out there today - I went for a walk to the allotment and got some stuff done. Jammy Dodger, I have mostly fruit bushes and trees on mine, plus some globe artichokes and this year I have put in a bed of rainbow chard/perpetual spinach - the plants were growing down there anyway and have done year after year, like a sort of weed, not sown by me but by somebody in the distant past, and they are such hardy survivors I thought I might as well encourage them and plant them up properly!

Doingitanyway, I get this completely, there were lots of people out today and a good many didn't really look as though they were trying to distance themselves from others - they were just walking straight past them in the street as you would normally. So it was prudent not to venture out.

I really do hope companies see how easy it is to be more flexible now. It amazes me how rigid, and frankly old fashioned, so many firms are in this respect. But we'll see I guess.
I agree totally, Van Girl, the whole presenteeism thing is very old-fashioned. Hope you are enjoying your treats!

MoneysavingmadGem, I've got a battery charger and it is incredibly useful. It costs loads to get anyone out to recharge it so a good thing to have.
