Hi guys, my daughter in law is at full time university but also works on a zero contract, like most of the country her company have closed down until further notice, is she entitled to claim anything.

If she was on the payroll on 28 February 2020 and there is now no work for her to do due to COVID-19, her employer may be eligible to claim for the Government support scheme, to fund 80% of her average monthly earnings while placing her on furlough. However, this is at the discretion of her employer and she can't force them to do this.

If not eligible for the furlough scheme which her employer will be able to
confirm with her then please have a look at one of the benefit entitlement calculators such as entitled to or turn2us which will advise if she is eligible for any help financially.1 -
