Ryanair not refunding Travel Insurance

My flight (which included travel insurance) was cancelled by Ryanair, and when I go to get a refund for the trip, I get the message:
"Your Travel Insurance will not be refunded as you may want to make a claim."
I will not be making the trip and will not want to make a claim, how do I go about getting this money refunded?

Insurance generally isn’t refunded. You’ve had some of the benefits of the policy already I’m afraid.2

@Nebulous2 is correct. Between the time you booked and today you have had the benefit of the insurance cover. Most insurance policies have a 14 day cooling of period, but after that are not refundable. Especially Single Trip policies. Some annual policies may enable people to cancel for a pro-rata refund. Also, yes it’s sold on the Ryanair website and is branded Ryanair, but they’re an airline not a travel insurer, it’s provided by Europ Assistance.2
