Sorry for yet another post on the virus but it's quite an important question for me. I'm currently away from my home as I've been living at my elderly parents house prior to moving this year and due to the current situation things have become a little more difficult. I'm staying at my partners during the lock down as it was deemed the best thing to do in this situation and so decided to bring the dog rather than also leave her with parents just incase either of them fell ill. However, I to am concerned if both my partner and I fell ill and worse case scenario needed to go to hospital. Is there any charity that would temporarily take a dog in? There has been no mention as to what to do in such circumstances.

We were discussing this last night as to what would happen with Sydney if we were both seriously ill.
We decided he would have to go with either friends or family. We are lucky and we do know plenty of people who would take him and look after him for us in those circumstances.0 -
Make arrangements with someone else to care for the dog and leave a note with their details in an obvious place. Also leave details about feeding.
If there is no one it is the responsibility of the LA to arrange care for the pet

Infortunately as I've mentioned i'm not close to home where I would have had a choice of a number of people suitable to look after my dog but. Where I am we don't know anybody willing to take on a dog that can be quite a handful although by no means naughty or aggressive.0

My local kennels is still open. The chances of you and your partner getting ill at the same time are quite low; it's more likely to be in stages if at all so it is likely that one of you would be well enough to make any necessary arrangements. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
