Is it worth paying the balance on UK holiday for this year?

We are due to pay the balance on our UK holiday in June (the holiday will be in Wales in August). Are we still obliged to pay then, if there is doubt about whether the holiday will still be possible?
And what happens if we pay and it then gets cancelled?
Are we able to get our money back, or are we obliged to go another time they might offer us?
Are they able to charge us more if they move our dates?
We have 2 weeks in self catering accommodation (each week at a separate location in Wales)

I was only half listening to a TV programme on ITV tonight, about 8 or 8.30
They asked exactly your question. Apparently by paying all instalments / balances you protect your consumer rights regarding getting a refund but I would also check the terms and conditions about rearranging dates etcLove living in a village in the country side0
