Accommodation Contract - 2nd Year Student

Hi all, I hope you can advise me what to do here:
In September 2020 I will be going into my second year of uni. My 7 friends and I have found a house to live in next year and are at the contract-signing stage with the agency. The 12-month term is supposed to begin in late July. One of our guarantors has got his solicitor to look at the contract and he advised that we ask for a renegotiation in light of the current situation. What do you you think are some reasonable things to ask for in terms of rent reductions if uni does not restart in September and/or the removal on collective guarantor responsibility in case one of them loses their job/income. Thanks for any advice!

If the solicitor advised on a renegotiation, I assume the solicitor has said what he would renegotiate, or the advice is no help to the guarantor. Ask the guarantor for details.0
