Couldn't agree more. There was a post today where the OP won following a no-show and the judge awarded the case to the defendant for other reasons but then didn't give costs because "there wasn't unreasonable behaviour". He didn't seem to know about CPR which would have awarded up to £95. This is the same judge who said that the added "debt admin costs" were OK and he didn't have to follow anything that wasn't "from a higher court" despite the fact that POFA and Consumer Rights Act bans the additional costs!Were_Doomed said:I presume it is a lawful decision, but if there's a hearing (whether in person, video or phone) and the claimant is a no-show, why shouldn't costs be automatically allowed for the defendant? And punitive unreasonable behaviour costs at that.4

We know Gladstones are a farce, their incompetence is second to none. What is a great puzzle is why parking companies use them ?Kim91 said:
@beamerguy Nope, neither turned up, they even waited 15 minutes after start time to check. To be honest Gladstones have been a farce, taking months to reply to e-mails and even addressing the e-mails to someone else!1
