Car pothole damage. Council - no fault found

Council just came back to me and claims there was no fault on the road. Well of course because the roads probably been repaired since then?! This relates to wrecked rim and tyre back in January. How can I proceed?
Fyi the entire length of the road is riddled with potholes, it's in a shambolic state.

Sue them in the Small Claim’s Court if you think they’re at fault.0

If you want to take it to court, you would need to show that:
- They knew there was a pothole, but did nothing about it, or
- They didn't inspect the road at reasonable intervals to spot potholes.
Just because there's a pothole, it doesn't automatically mean it's the council's fault. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
