Annual leave

Hi there
I had 9 days booked off  for a trip to Florida. Obv the holiday was cancelled. my employer has said I can work 1 week and has refused the 2 nd week and it must stay as annual leave. Can they do that?

    Yes. They are within their rights to do this I am afraid.

    Yes, any company can force an employee to take annual leave, although technically they have to give notice of twice the length of the leave they want you to take. Whether it is wise to push that point at the moment is another matter!

    Yes they can. They can dictate when you take holidays, they only need to give you 2 times notice of what they want you to take.
