SE not PAYE

Afternoon
My wife and I run our own Limited company, we are SE and not PAYE as we grow the business and we couldn't yet afford to take a regular wage. My wife has been self employed for several years and files a yearly personal return. I have been filing a personal return for many years inc 2018/2019 however I only formally became SE in April 2019.  We have submitted a application for UC, we know we are not entitled to furlough payment, and suspect we wont be covered by the SE announcement last week. We have applied to the bank for a mortgage break so our savings last for as long as possible. (Thankfully we have no outstanding card or loan debt so consider ourselves very fortunate) I was wondering if there is any other long term advice or assistance I should seek as our limited pot we have for a rainy day (Tax) will only last a limited time.  So wanted to plan ahead as much as we can.
I appreciate any advice you can offer

I believe there are Tax Deferments in place for the payments.
You may be able to apply for a 0% loan from the government to ensure business continuity.
If you have savings of £16,000 or more, you will not be eligible for Universal Credit.

You are not clear about your status. If you work for a limited company, even though you own it, you are not self employed for the purpose of the self employment grant. You are an employee for the purposes of the job retention scheme, although to make life difficult, you are treated as if you were self employed for the purposes of calculating UC. Please clarify the facts. Do you take salary from the company? Dividends? Does the company have a payroll with you on it registered with HMRC?
