We booked a cruise with TUI instore earlier this year and are due to travel late June. We are also due to pay the rest of the balance in a few days. We are worried if we pay it and the holiday is cancelled we might not get all our money back as they're currently encouraging people to amend their own bookings to a new holiday online but we cannot access our online account for some reason and can't get through to speak to anyone as the branches are closed and the phone lines are full of people trying to sort out more imminent travel! How do we even pay the balance as well if we can't get online access to our travel account?!

And will we be penalised if we are unable to pay the remaining balance? We have the funds it's just we have no physical way of making the payment. Can't do it in store or on the phone and the online booking management thing doesn't work.

To cover yourself I would make sure you have sent an email to them offering to pay and asking them to contact you so you can pay.  Send a similar letter to the branch asking them to call you - you never know, someone may be on the phones in a closed branch.

TUI have stated on their website they accept people who booked in store currently have no way of making payments and that no holiday will be cancelled as a result of payments being overdue.

bradders1983, thank you very much, can you show let me know where abouts on their website TUI says this as I can't find  it, that'd be great if so. We are worried about this and would like some printed clarification from TUI. Thank you also Aylesbury_Duck for your reply, we can;t even find an email address for our local branch! It;s so confusing and stressful  :s
