TSB MORTGAGE PAYMENT HOLIDAY REFUSAL DUE TO DIVORCE

Hi, I am in proper dire straights now due to going self employed last
year to give myself time for a college course to become retrained so I
cannot claim for help there, My partner works 20 hours a week around
school hours so i cannot claim benefits then my only option left is a
mortgage payment holiday and hope to get through with a little amount of
savings which were helping my college course
Any help would be great please as I am tempted to go down the non payment route and chat about this in court but that means ill be destroyed for renewing next january
Thanks
Keith
I applied to TSB
for a mortgage holiday which has been refused, I have 999 credit score,
been debt free for 15 years but got divorced 3 years ago, I kept the
house and through a solictor TSB agreed to remove her from any liability
or responsibility of the house and mortgage, in return I kept the house
and saved the hassle and cost of a remortgage, its very common thing to
do these days.
I have less than a year left to go, never
defaulted ever but they refused a holiday in this coronavirus outbreak
as she now has to agree in writing to this break even with no liability.
I haven't heard or seen her since she moved in with the other person
and have no idea or clue where she is or any contact details anymore as
she has moved out of the area. TSB said she has an account still with
them but they cannot get any response from her either and im now stuck
with my own family as to what to do and TSB have made continuous
promises to call back with answer or other solution and never do, they
suggested i just talk to the debt team about killing my credit score and
refusing to pay the monthly payments as they just seem uninterested in
help or a solutionAny help would be great please as I am tempted to go down the non payment route and chat about this in court but that means ill be destroyed for renewing next january
Thanks
Keith

Did you have a solicitor to advise you? If you didn't, it seems to me that TSB are responsible for their own mess. If TSB agreed to remove her from any liability or responsibility, why do they now need her consent to something that cannot affect her?0

What names are on the title deeds. You say "responsibility" has been removed but was the ownership changed?
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's and their rules apply.

Surely any divorce lawyer would have ensured the title deeds were put in OP's sole name? But I agree this could be an issue.
If you want to find out, and the property is on the Land Registry, you can get a copy of the deeds (for a fee).
