PAYE .. I am the Employer AND the Employee .. Furlough?

Hi everyone
I have a Ltd company and I am the employer and the only employee
Does anyone know if I will be entitled to the 80% wage grant?
I know technically I need to furlough myself but in order to keep my business afloat I do need to attend to emails etc
I am pretty sure that there is no concrete information on this as yet but if anyone can shed any light on this I would appreciate it
Thank you in advance

Currently the wisdom is that you can furlough and get 80% of your PAYE but not dividends.
Whilst furloughed you can do no work for the business but directors will have an exemption to deal with legal necessities in connection with their LTD co. but that can not include anything to do with trading or generating income.
One option might be to furlough for 3 weeks, return to work for a period to deal with work, then furlough for another three weeks. Three weeks is the minimum furlough.
This assumes you were PAYE on 28 Feb.
Further guidance could alter that of course.0 -

Hermann …. Thank you very much indeed for the valuable information you have supplied me ….
I use the Inland Revenue Basic Tools app to submit my pay details each month … what I would like to know is when furloughed do I still submit my full monthly pay details in as normal or 80% of the pay or nothing 0.00

Submit full pay details as normal. The company will be reimbursed 80% of full pay upto £2,500 plus the employer NI contributions and pension contributions on that in a mechanism yet to be put in place.Paul__UK_2 said:Hermann …. Sorry I can't answer that with any confidence, but suspect what you enter is what you actually pay.0
