New build Avant with April move in date.

Hi all, 
I know there have been similar threads recently but wanted to vent
We reserved a newbuild apartment in november, paid in full for all the extras and had a completion date of last friday in April.
I know Covid-19 is serious, and id rather all tradesmen are home safe instead of working, so i have no problem with a delay. My issue is with avant!
I have friends on the development who live next to our new apartment, they have been sending pictures with updates for us, currently the building is complete, internal walls, paint, all in, kitchen is partly done and some flooring already down. We have heard nothing from avant apart from calling them twice ourselves. Avants own website said on wednesday last week that if a plot was due to be completed in the next 4-6 weeks they would continue work on it, observing social distancing (only inside work left so im guessing one trade in at a time)

Then the website changed to say ALL sites will close by Sunday (29th) and staff are already working from home. I called Avant to ask about this who then said "yeah we cant tell you anymore than this, the plot was on target to be complete mid-april. We will email you with any updates" avoiding the questions on small works still being carried out.
Just to add also, we have friends who got the keys to their new apartment on friday (site manager basically handed them and said "any issues we can fix after all this is over") They had a March completion date, so that was on time and finished before lockdown started.

Anyone know if small/internal buidling work is still going ahead around the uk, observing social distancing? Or even any news from other avant buyers?

*Update - we got an email from our solicitor this morning saying that avant have confirmed a late april completion date.
Not sure how, when the internals arent complete yet.

Another update - so the costs and fees letter that avant sent was wrong, they hadn't removed charges we had already paid. I asked them to remove these costs and send the letter back to my solicitor.

it was returned late afternoon and low and behold, the figures are still not right, however the completion date has been entered as 18th December 2020! Seems like someone messed up and shouldn't have given me the late April date :-(  as the only thing needing changed in the letter was the monetary values.
