Delivery people damaged an existing appliance whilst delivering a new appliance and won’t admit it!

It also cost us a lot of money and is just seven months old😐0 -
TELLIT01 said:I disagree with Boohoo. That dent is pretty obvious and looks quite deep. Why should the OP have to just grin and bear it if the damage was done by the delivery people?
To the OP I think you may have complicated matters by getting 3 complaints on the go at the same time, delivery company, insurance company and then Resolver. The last 2 are going to have to deal with the delivery company and with COVID still going strong(unfortunately) and staffing level's low on all fronts this will take time and they will not want to sent out any staff to your home to inspect the damage(if they will send anybody) or replace the door/unit so you will have to wait for the lockdown to ease.
Do you know how much a replacement door will cost for your fridge/freezer ?
Another point you may have to consider for your insurance firm or who ever may replace the damaged door when it is replaced will it match up with the other side as there have been a few threads on here about replacement kitchen doors, appliances doors and other items where there was a colour mismatch. Yours is a silver colour so I don't know if that colour fades over time.

Complicated or not I would like restitution. I don’t know the cost of a replacement door but if either the suppliers or the insurance deign to see fit to replace we shall await their response interestedly. I am fully aware of the door shade discrepancy potential and have indeed experienced this when Samsung replaced our earlier older model door c/o it rusting which the present new model was ironically purchased as replacement!
I am also aware of the issues surrounding our countries “lockdown” and no I don’t expect Rome to be built in a day but we do want our property rectified to our satisfaction given that some negligent disengenuous cowboys chose to mash up a fairly straightforward delivery of a rather expensive purchase from the company who employs them and yes I am angry as is my Mrs but we are hopeful that some form of honesty prevails in thes strange times.0
