Gravity fed system
We're looking to get a new boiler for hw and ch.
Currently we have old system boiler which works well but is very old. Maybe 30 years.
We have a wood burner we use extensively as we get unlimited free wood. The wood burner also provides hot water.
We've had two plumbers quote and neither were happy to included the wood burner in new system.
I understand the issue of lack of heat control from wb in an unvented system and explosion potential...
Are new vented systems available...? I can't find any info on web
Any other ideas how to integrate wood burner into hot water boiler system...?
Many thanks

Just look on t'interweb, "integrating solid fuel with gas.or oil central heating" and there are plenty of links on the subject. have a chat with a stove installer as well as the heating installer so you know what is possibleNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

I'd second the Dunsley Neutralizer, you really do need to find an installer who is familiar with hybrid systems, plenty of rural properties have such systems, they can also be set up for running the heating as well as hot water. If you do a forum search it should throw up some similar situations.Mister_G said:0
