Pre payment
My son is on an online pre payment with Boost variable. He rents his property and is paying £1600 a year. He lives with his son in a 2 bedroom house. He won’t apply for benefits but his son gets standard PIP . He can’t afford the rates boost are charging and wants to change to a credit meter .boost don’t do credit meters how does he get one? He’s never been in debit on his energy and has a good credit score.

jazzybear: your son should be eligible for a universal credit top up dependant upon his circumstances. He can also move to a cheaper supplier (if one is available) even on prepayment.1
