Obvious question time ... you do have a dial tone when you pick up the handset? (Broadband can work to some degree even when voice comms have failed completely).0

The (non corded) handset is silent when picked up, I think it has always been so. When the green ‘connect’ button is pressed there is a dial tone. I have had no problem with landline calls - I have rarely used the landline in the past but I’m using it now as no broadband makes it difficult to use the mobile. (Terrible réception inside my flat so have always used WhatsApp or WiFi call.)
JJEgan, it’s not the WiFi as such, as even TalkTalk acknowledge the connection is dropping.
