New electric supplier took over gas account without permission

Have you checked that your existing supplier will supply gas only? If they will, just tell the new and old suppliers that your gas must not be switched.0

Check your emails, you will have received a 'Welcome Pack' contained in an email titled 'Details of your switch to Octopus Energy'. The welcome pack will have included a statement of your estimated annual cost and the basis for that which will show either electricity only, or gas as well, also it will show the tariffs you were going to be on.If that statement only references electricity then there has been an error with regard to your gas switching, if that statement shows both then you may have accidentally indicated that you wished to switch both at that time and you should have queried it when you got the statement...0

Cheers MWT the email Details of your switch only mentions the electricty charge a month only.And the previous 6 or so emails before the gas one on 27/3 do not mention gas at alllooks more like a grab for both to me i will phone my previous supplier on monday.Thanks0
