Redundancy and New job delayed

Made redundant as of 31st March (not due to Covid-19) . I have managed to find a new job and due to start induction course (with the new company) on 6th April. Once induction is completed have been told it could be up to 3 months before I actually get to start due to covid-19, am I entitled to wages?

It would depend on when your contract says you are due to start.1

Letter says provisions offer of employment subject to two satisfactory referenced and the sucessful completion of disclosure. Due to regulatory requirements your start date will be dependent upon receipt of these items.

One thing to consider is the notice period during your trial/probationary period, which is sometimes as little as one day during the first week. If you ask for 3 months wages while you're not working the employer could turn around and say we're terminating your contract you get one day's pay in lieu of notice and we'll recruit for the role again in a couple of months.1
