Morning all.
Glory be! It's cold outside and the wind is making its presence felt.
Either it doesn't feel like Sunday or every other day does feel like Sunday. I haven't decided which it is.
Dumpling, you sound like a different person today. Instead of you always trying to fit into everybody else's world, everybody else is suddenly trying to fit into your world. Your world is the place to be. And you are the queen!
I don't really know what I feel like doing today. Probably not very much. It takes me ages to get used to the hour going on. While everyone else seems to be excited about longer days and shorter nights, I'm bemoaning the long light evenings. I love drawing the curtains and having early nights. Cosy is my default setting. I was probably a sloth in some earlier existence.
I read all your menu plans with interest. I have always fed the 5,000 so living on my own and cooking just for me is still a novelty. At the moment my new kitchen, and particularly my new Hide and Slide oven, is being overworked. I tend to eat according to mood rather than being sensible. The scales are testament to that fact. So......I am trying a little bit of intermittent ....not fasting exactly (I know my limits) but only eating in a specified time frame. At the moment I am only eating between 8.00am and 2.00pm,. 2 meals and no snacks in between. I'll let you know.
Can you tell how beautifully boring my life is?
THOUGHT FOR SUNDAY
Be where your feet are.
Don't be stuck in the past or worried about the future. God gave you today, and today matters.
This matters, here and now.
This precious time and place.
Be where your feet are.I believe that friends are quiet angels
Who lift us to our feet when our wings
Have trouble remembering how to fly.15 -
Morning all! I have aching muscles and sore hands but that's not going to stop me going out to dig more today. I can only do about a meter square a day and that's it, but there are a few more to dig so my excercise plan is ongoing. OH managed to finally smash all the concrete out...Looks like the original line pole concrete was sat next to.the latest wash line post which was sat in a metal sink and concrete [ home made jobbie] The hole went to about two foot down. He's going to rest today I think.:)I put the guttering up, stared screwing the wood together for the bed, of course it's been in the sun now for a year so it's getting harder. I can barely get the screw in two thirds. Now I will have to wait until I find a corded drill, lots in Wales, none here and I gave my heavy duty one away to friend who was renovating a few years ago.Made wholemeal and nuts and raising bread yesterday. Came out looking like a pancake, probably need a tin next time, but tasted really nice. This sits alongside my epic fail meatballs from the pinch of nom books which also came out looking like something the dog threw up but again, tasted lovely. So at least I've got the tasting lovely part down.I'm feeling slghtly chuffed I'm actually doing things again even if it is slow....I'm not having much trouble wih confinement, I'm actually enjoying not having to go out, not having to go places, not having appointments. I expect it would be a different story if I wasn't prepped, and didn't have the wherewithal or reserves to cope with daily pressures of food, shelter etc so while on the one hand I've been lucky, on the other hand, I've made my luck...OHs dad works in Dyson and might be called in to help build ventilators. there's an order of ten thousand to start with....Anyway, I waffle now....Nels, you can't do anything bout your mother. If she doesn't understand she doesn't understand. I think you should make golden boy aware and let him deal. You really do have enough already on your plate. TA, hope things work out for your DDs neighbour..My cousin has been stopped from visiting her mother and is chafing...dumpling, glad you've got yourself set up as the great grand wotsit it's nice to be prepared in other ways even if the reasons for the preparedness is a bit...thingy...you know...camelot, your piper sounds so cool! Hey all reading along . Stay safe out there in there Sunday!Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...11

Morning allYesterday DD brought me a pint of milk after she'd been to the pharmacy to collect her meds. Took her an hour in the queue for the pharmacy, which stretched the length of the high street and she was frozen. She had also popped into Dad's and left a loaf in his conservatory. My day went downhill from there . Gave up trying to do anything productive and I'd even lost the ability to string a sentence together. Getting the "office" mixed up with the "oven" was the last straw. Today hasn't started well either, as I forgot about the clocks and I've dropped half a digestive into my tea ! Seems every little thing tends to send me into a downward spiral lately.I did find a steak pie and a toffee pavlova in the bottom of the freezer yesterday, so we'll make a start on those today, they should last us a couple of days. I thought I would now have quite a bit of room in the freezer because they were large boxes but no joy, so I think I'll have to take everything out and start again. But not today Josephine ! With my track record lately I'd probably end up falling in the damn thing !Take care and stay safe allnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently12

Hi everyone,
I'm also finding it difficult to sort out the days - lay in bed for ages thinking it couldn't be Sunday. I'm still tired which seems to be the default position of us both atm, we keep falling asleep at the drop of a hat. I usually try not to nap because it stops me sleeping at night but it's been impossible to stay awake and until last night when I couldn't get to sleep it's not been affecting my nights. It's making me feel really woolly headed though.
Groundhog day number 7, today we'll have been in full isolation for a week so I think we can probably say neither of us caught the virus before. I'd be pleased but I know that this week Steve has to go to the hospital for treatment so we will then start another waiting game to see if he's picked up an infection. I will go with him because he's given piriton before his treatment and it makes him drowsy, but I shall stay in the car and wait for him.9 -
Morning all
Nice bright day here but with a really strong cold wind its great for doing the washing but not so good for going out walking, Yesterdays walk was bracing to say the least and far fewer people about.
Roast pork for dinner today with roasties and veg might do a few yorkshires as well to bulk it out, the pork was cooked last week and frozen so no crackling etc and maybe a smaller portion than normal.
Ive got no washing to do and dont want to waste a good drying day so might do some jackets and coats.
Will have a nice walk later and then settle for the afternoon with a film, we have been doing a pub quiz in the evenings which is good fun and keeping us entertained.
Nels hugs back to you, is your brother able to help with your mum at all ? I know he cant visit but he could phone and have a word with her !!
Stay safe everyone xx11 -

Afternoon everyone
Just been having a catch up whilst eating my lunch. Youngest DD had to ring 111 for little one this morning as she was having difficulty breathing....she has a chest infection so they organised antibiotics for her.
It seems strange that eldest DD in Sweden is living her life as normal other than working from home. The shops and cafes are all open as usual - there's an article about Sweden's approach to the virus on BBC news today.
I had a walk this morning and got my Sunday Times from the nearest corner shop. From next week I should be able to get it delivered for free but my vouchers haven't come yet - I expect they've been inundated with requests.
I seem to be spending too much time just faffing about and not doing anything useful....I need to make a bit more of an effort next week.
My mam rang this morning to say she'd forgotten to put their clocks forward....the first time ever in her 60 years of being married. She wondered why the carer who comes about 9am was trying to get in just after 8....
Hope everyone is ok
