Thomas Cook. Successful with Section 75 claim for original flight costs. Had to rebook with someone else at a higher cost. Can I claim the difference back?

No. If you were already on holiday when they went bust and you were told to rebook your return flight and it was more expensive then you would have a claim.0

Hi, it was flight only and they went bust before we flew, so left with no alternative other than booking with someone else, at a MUCH higher cost, (original cost was £3999, new cost £7705, so £3706 difference). Got the original £3999 back from my credit card supplier. I've since been told I should have also claimed for the £3706 extra cost. Can I ?0

There was an alternative, i.e. not to fly at all. You chose not to do that and paying a higher price was your choice.PeteFid2803 said:Hi, it was flight only and they went bust before we flew, so left with no alternative other than booking with someone else, at a MUCH higher cost, (original cost was £3999, new cost £7705, so £3706 difference).1
