Hi I own 3 weeks time share in an aparthotel in Portugal and it does not look like I will be able to go due to the restrictions,  the fees are played in advance in Dec/Jan for the coming year.  Will I be able to claim a refund if the travel ban is still enforce.

Who do you wish to claim from?
If travel insurance, read your policy details to see if you are covered.
If from the time share company, read your agreement with them to see if you are covered.
If from the owner of the timeshare,... that’s you.

I doubt it - the time share company still have to maintain your holiday home, so it's fair to pay them.
Why would you not being able to travel mean you're entitled to a refund? It's not going to look after itself.

    Insurance is your only route.
  • I agree with above but feel that a partial refund would be fair.  The Apartment is closed down so apart from garden & pool maintenance there will be none of the usual expenses: daily cleaning, laundry, garbage collection, wear & tear on furniture and kitchen appliances, water usage, electricity usage, recycle collection etc. etc.
  • can you not go later?
