PCH - unable to service
Options
Morning all, my car is on PCH and due its service. Obviously given the situation I can't get this done at a franchised dealer. I've been trying to get in touch with the finance provider without luck. I could go to an independent or non-franchised chain but not sure about this given the T&C's. Unsure what to do as could face a penalty at the end of the contract either way. You would think some leeway would be allowed, but won't take that for granted.
Has anyone else in the same position managed to get in touch with their leasing company? Appreciate some may take a different line but would be good to see some views.

Stick to the T&Cs, I very much doubt the lease companies will be able to do much about it given you will probably be able to claim force majeure regarding this if it was disputed.0

Mine is due today. Had it booked in last Tuesday but was cancelled. All garages offered by my leasing provider are closed - main manufacturer dealers(I've taken screenshots).
They said they can't book me into a Halfords due to warranty. They said there's a months grace on servicing and to call back in a couple of weeks.
Yesterday I took a photo of my Odometer with the date (actually with the car saying service due in 1 day), just to show I won't have driven it much.
So, sorry not a clear answer but hopefully a couple of tips there?0 -
Would love to see them try to prove in court that you should have had a service when all the garages are closed ,front line staff have to go to work ( god bless them ) and so can use their cars to get to hospitals etc.0

Most of the car manufacturers are granting leniency on regular servicing at the moment. I'm sure you'll be fine, as long as you get the service when things restart - you'll be handing the car back with the manufacturers warranty intact.0
