Chargeback help

hi hi I had bought tickets with Flybe and the day they collapsed Halifax my card provider contacted me to fill in a claim form. I thought this was a section 75 claim but have just received a message to say they will be refunding my money but the merchant has 45 days to dispute it. This now looks like a chargeback. I can’t get in contact with Halifax to get it changed to a section 75 claim and it doesn’t seem likely I will be able to for a while. Any advice on what I should do? Is it likely this will be disputed?

It is around £600 so I don’t want to get it refunded and spend it only to be told I owe it again in 45 days. I was foolish not to make it explicit that this was a section 75 but I lost a lot of work flights etc when Flybe collapsed so it was a busy day

Just leave it as it is.  The chargeback is much quicker than a S75 claim in instances like this.

You would have been foolish to make it a S75 claim for something so straightforward.

  • Hi I am having real problems with Chargeback and Nationwide . They keep referring  to ' no current dispute raised'  - does anyone  have idea what this means and how I can either raise a dispute or progress this via chargeback? I used the helpful template provided here and have got the above answer .

Perhaps tell us what you are trying to chargeback and for what reason - you might get some help?

Can only echo what jonesMUFC said.

But please start a new thread. Not tag on to someone elses, as it causes confusion.
