Myself and my colleagues are in a horrible position, I am sure like many more on here. We are not working in a pharmacy store, it is classed as a health and beauty store. The store has been put on reduced hours and reduced staff numbers, It’s nearly impossible for us to make our contracted hours. The solution offered are we relocated to other stores to make up our hours, use our holidays or take unpaid leave. The distress alone about going to another store as none of us are trained to work in a pharmacy store, In this high stress time it’s a strange place where we know nobody. All of us have high risk members within our families, all have children who require childcare and we are terrified of the risks we are facing dealing with people who are not listening to social distancing. There is 4 other pharmacy stores within a short distance of this store, They are key in helping the public, we are open to sell makeup and hair dyes.

I am slightly confused? At the moment you work in a Boots store that is not a pharmacy - and is closing. But you have been offered work at a Boots Pharmacy? Yes? Why are you worried - it will be the same as your existing store - they are not going to be expecting you to give advice to the customers about medicines - that is for the pharmists ...
Go for it ....

If you are living with High Risk people, you should be Self Isolating for 12 weeks. That's part of the Social Distancing and the Vulnerable Shielding too. So, if you're worried about others not following the rules on those subjects - you're flouting them yourselves.
In terms of where you stand, your best bet is to Self Isolate under the Vulnerable Shielding Instruction and apply for SSP through boots, and then claim Universal Credit.
Other than that, it is much the same as others as you said.GETTING BACK ON TRACK (SLOWLY)

Sorry I wasn’t very clear, the store is not closing, we just no longer have the the hours to support all the workers contracted hours. They have offered us, travel to another store, unpaid leave or use holidays.0

When you say high risk members of your family, how do you mean exactly?0

You have misunderstood. Other members of the household DO NOT have to join them in 12 weeks isolation.GazNicki said:If you are living with High Risk people, you should be Self Isolating for 12 weeks. You need to read https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19 properly before spouting rubbish0
