Paying in Checks

Hi I cant seem to find any information on the backs websites about paying in checks. Due to health issues I am in most of the at risk groups for coronavirus but have recieved checks in the post in the last week but have been advised not to go to shops/ banks where you meet other people for now and dont want to catch the virus. But I was wondering how long you have to pay checks into your accounts before banks dont accept them anymore or if there is another way of paying them into my ban account. Thanks

presuming you're in the UK and mean cheques, they are IIRC valid for 6 months.. Some banks can accept pay-ins via smartphone as long as you have the mobile phone banking app.

You can by post - make sure you include a paying in slip
or ask a neighbour
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -
Before mobile banking apps I would generally pay in cheques by posting them to the branch with a paying in slip. I did that regularly with various banks for 20+ years without an issue. I still do it occasionally now with cheques of too high a value to be paid in via an app.0
