Gladstones - Legalities over striking off a case after ONE YEAR of no response

Hi All,
Hope everyone is keeping well and safe!
Alas, I must return here to ask another question for a case that has dragged on since December 2017.
I got to the stage where I sent the N180 form to the County Court and Gladstones on October 24th 2018.
I hadn't received anything or head anything until today (26th March), receiving another 'Notice of Proposed Allocation to the Small Claims Track'.
As it's been over a year, do I have any grounds to request this to be struck off and go no further?
Thank you in advance!

County Council - are you sure?

    Nope!

The NEWBIES FAQ sticky, second post, should guide you through this.

    Changed.
OK thanks, that's all I wanted to know... I shall complete it again and continue with this arduous process.

Yes... I hadn't heard anything from them in over a year and wanted to see if it's possible to pick it up again after such a long period

Come back in January 2024 and ask the same question - they have 6 years in which to pursue you via litigation. Please don't bump any gums about the ridiculousness of this with volunteers giving you the facts, write instead to your MP and get them to earn their corn!

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
