We are nearly ready to exchange.. buyers just need to sign and send the report on to take back and we are good to go.
Does this mean moving house is allowed then?

Ah, Yes. This is good news. To actually see an official message!

The rules on what is and isn't allowed are now changing so fast that I believe solicitors are advising that you exchange and complete on the same day, to avoid legally commiting to something which it turns out you can't fulfil at a later date.0

It seems moving might break social distancing laws:

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
I received a message yesterday from our solicitor to say the firm gave put on hold all matters so there will be no further exchanges or completions until the measures are lifted.
The solicitor at the bottom of the cgskn had already said no exchanges/ completions before ours has.
Good luck with everything. I'm devastated. We were all signed and returned, ready to exchange 3 weeks ago. Just waiting for bottom of the chain to catch up. And now who knows when it will be....1 -
trying to get some agreement to delay completion all through an exchanged chain could be very complex and cause some much more stress than others. Also how long do they delay it for ? 3 weeks? 3 months?0
