Please help! Need an insurer for someone with a fraud marker against their name

Options
Ok, so to start, the person in question knows they are in a predicament, it wasn't their fault and maybe they acted a little rashly and were a little foolhardy, don't judge them, please just help if you can!
The person in question has a fraud marker against them due to a 'no win-no fee' claim. The claim was genuine but the judge ruled it to be fraudulent (let's not get into that on here!).
The person has a car and a motorbike and works in the motor industry. Due to the marker they cannot get insurance now. We are doing everything we can to get the marker removed from CIFAS/synectics etc, but it's taking a while and may not be successful. In the meantime we are desperately looking for any company that deals in this type of specialist insurance.
Any advice would be so gratefully received as livelihoods are on the line (as well as the sanity of their family!!). Surely there have been other people in this boat who found a way out?
Thank you for any kind advice anyone might have xxx

Can you go into any more detail?
Do you mean that they simply had an insurance claim refused... or do you mean they have a criminal conviction for fraud?
Which bit of the quote process is causing the problem? Is it the "Have you ever had a policy cancelled" question?
    How long ago?

yes they have had a policy cancelled, hence all the refusals. They haven't been convicted for fraud, but have been deemed fraudulent and a marker put against them, so other insurers are refusing.

Specialist broker time.  None of the mainstream brokers will be able to help.

That's what I presumed, but having googled the heck out of it, I'm none the wiser who these specialists may be! I thought they would be easy to find, but it seems a needle in a huge haystack, any ideas?

It's the policy cancellation that's the issue.

You cannot get that removed from the record, because it's simply true. They have had a policy cancelled.

There are various insurers out there who will deal with people in their situation - google will find them. This is just the first I found:

  • Sounds like you should be pursuing the no-win-no-fee lawyer for giving you such catastrophically bad advice as to proceed with that case.

But the OP is not involved, it's just someone he knows.... Anyway, if the person involved was prepared to lie in court, it's unlikely that he provided the lawyer with the full facts.

Needless to say that avenue is also being investigated, but this is no place to air the failings of the judicial system, as I said before, please be nice and try to provide constructive advice to help with finding an insurance possibility. Thank you though for taking the time to read and reply
