my son is now classed as furlough, he gets paid weekly, however is employer has said he will not pay them any money until he gets it off the government. his employer said this will be end of April earliest, therefore what does he do for money during April.

Hopefully your son has a contract of employment. It may, of course, result in your son being made redundant.
But presumably your son has carried out work this month, and so should be paid in accordnace with the contract of employment (written or implied) for that work carried out
