Festivals & Event Refunds due to COVID-19

Hi there - I bought tickets to a festival happening 23rd May 2020 and the event organisers have just updated saying they are postponing the festival and rescheduled 28th August 2020. Our tickets will be still be valid for this new date but if we can't go, they will also be valid for May 2021 however at this moment in time, they aren't issuing refunds.
I can't still go in August and next year is too far away to know! I bought the tickets on my credit card, can I still claim a full refund? Should I hang tight and await further updates?

I had the same with this years Le Mans *June), except if we couldn't make Sept'20 we had the option of transferring to May'21 or a refund. I would push for a refund on the basis you can't go to the rescheduled event. What event?IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
