Broadband Install

My mother is high risk and is having broadband installed hopefully tomorrow, with the lock down, does anybody know if I go and visit her at the weekend and give her a device so we can be in contact with video over the broadband, will also be taking her some food, she lives 50 miles away

"Visit" is explicitly what you MUST not do, as that would increase her risk. "No contact delivery of essentials" is covered within the existing exemptions. 

Quotes not intended to be read as "define what you want to do this way and your back is covered", but rather "yes, she needs food and communication equipment, what she absolutely doesn't need is any risk of you spreading the disease to her".

Doesn’t matter, you can spread it without symptoms. 

Don’t put your mum at risk, leave the stuff on her doorstep after wiping it down if you can, then wave through the window and go away so she can come out to pick it up.

You can have the virus and pass it on even without displaying symptoms.

This would not be essential travel, so no you cannot go. Post a communication device or get one ordered and delivered to her house. Contact her neighbours to arrange food.
