Hi
I was wondering what you would do if you were in my situation my PIP is currently until May 2021. Currently I am paying for a lot of repairs on my car so will be looking at getting a mobility car. My current cars mot is in August.
Would you put in for a renewal now I have all my evidence ready to go I just cannot make up my mind what to do.

If you report a change then you will risk losing everything you already have. At the moment all face to face assessments have been suspended. All reviews for PIP and Work capability assessments have also be suspended, for at least 3 months. Those with a PIP award that's due to end in the next few months will have their award extended so they are not left without money.Car dealers are also closed. Only service departments are open. This means you won't be able to chose a mobility car at the moment anyway.

I'd wait it out, you cant get one at the moment anyway. Prepare by putting the mobility payment from your pip in an account just for your car repairs and MOT. That way when you do get a mobility car you'll already be used to not seeing that money come in. It's quite a big chunk to lose if you need it.Last bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T2
