Credit card free interest on balance transfer

Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a chance to get that common offer of a new credit card, when the balance is offered at 0% interest for 1-2 years....
For example, I take it now but I don't need that offer, any chance to get a similar offer later?
If I request a new credit card, it doesn't make so much sense as I would start from a very low balance, I suspect even with a perfect history ...

Nobody on here can advise whether you'd be likely to get later 0% BT offers even if we knew what card(s) you were referring to and the rest of your financial circumstances. If you're carrying an interest-bearing balance just now then it would generally make sense to get it moved onto a 0% card straightaway if you have that option, but if you don't have an interest-bearing balance then there's not much point, although a 0% purchases card might be beneficial if you intend to start spending without repaying?0

BT offers for existing customers are often not hugely different between different types of credit cards. If you get a 0% BT card now and don't use it in the first 60 or 90 days for the promotional rate, the likelihood is that the company will consider whether you're actually wanting to do balance transfers or if you got the card in error and have a different intent.
However, if you are an existing cardholder, have a very low balance or are inactive, but have a good credit profile, some companies will often try to give you promotional BT (and sometimes MT) rates to try to stimulate you to use the card.
This differs by provider - typically Barclaycard gives the most of these types of offers to existing cardholders. If you qualify, you might have a deal of some sort available most of the time. However these deals are usually 12 months to 14 months 0% and in rare cases a little higher, but they will never offer existing customers the market-leading type terms of 25 to 30 months - you can only get these if you apply for a new product.1 -
Thanks all.I have a doubt, few times I asked to merchants if there was a chance to split the payment across few months, like for a car. They replied to me with the finance, but no thanks, so they proposed me to get a credit card...Now the point is that they can't split the bill, it's a single product, not even a service, so I'm wondering how this works, or how they ended up to propose me a credit card, like if I can easily get 5-10k balance at the 1st shot...Considering that they knew I was new in UK, there was no chance to get more than 1k.Even if now, at a distance of one year, I see the possibility of platinum cards, but I believe I would start anyway with a very low balance, and it raises max 50% of the value every 6 months for my understanding, a bit pointless. So, hoping to get that balance transfer free for X months in the future, it's even worst.0

You may have misinterpreted their message, which wouldn't have been "you should be able to get a credit card with a decent limit" but "if you don't have the money and don't want our finance then you'd need a credit card", although there are other forms of finance available, such as personal loans, or leases, etc, for cars.Rocksolid said:I have a doubt, few times I asked to merchants if there was a chance to split the payment across few months, like for a car. It's still not clear to me what you're looking to achieve - you keep talking about balance transfer cards, which are specifically intended to move existing credit card debt to a lower interest rate, but if you don't yet have a credit card balance (?) then there's no point getting ahead of yourself. Do you have a UK credit card yet? If not, you will need to start at the bottom with a subprime card and build up from there, as there aren't any viable shortcuts, so it would be best not to be aiming for prime ones at this stage.Rocksolid said:Even if now, at a distance of one year, I see the possibility of platinum cards, but I believe I would start anyway with a very low balance, and it raises max 50% of the value every 6 months for my understanding, a bit pointless. So, hoping to get that balance transfer free for X months in the future, it's even worst.

I have good credit score with one year aprox of history, with the time will become excellent.I don't need credit, I just take it and increase based on the offers I receive because is good for the mortgage application, or the last moment emergencies.Regarding the purchase of something paid in few months, well, always useful, so the balance transfer card is the best from this point of view, especially if it doesn't cover all the amount.I have 2 credit cards, to be precise, they suck
, but I don't need them.0
