Garage won't return vehicle and closed for "foreseeable future"

    Forget all these threats about small
    claims courts. Ask nicely and explain why you need the van (why do you need it?) and make some suggestions about how it can be retrieved safely. 
    The government clearly hopes that people will be sensible. For example, selling and repairing TVs is clearly not essential but in the middle of a lockdown getting a replacement TV will be a godsend for some.
    And as a concrete example, my very vulnerable neighbours hot water heater failed two days ago - fortunately she discovered that she could still buy a new one.


    And I see that garages are explicitly excluded from the shutdown advice.
