Exchanged contracts but just lost job!

Two weeks ago I exchanged contracts on a new build property. I lost my job last week due to headcount cuts and now I don't know what to do for the best. I am currently renting short term as my old property was sold when I split with my ex partner whom left me in lots of debt so I had to purchase a new build on a shared ownership basis. Santander were my mortgage provider on my old property and they are supposed to be porting a portion of the mortgage over once I complete on the new property. I have put a large deposit down and cannot afford to lose it if Santander will no longer lend me the money. I am looking for a new job but I don't know when I will get one in this current situation. Any advice would be much appreciated.
