CCJ’s and the police

Hi all, just wondering why the police have a a strict policy on having a CCJ, like an automatic no entry?
It baffles me as I was in the Royal Navy and I was given security clearance which I assume is a lot more serious than a simple dbs check.

Do they? If so, it's probably because the risk of corruption by people who need money is higher in the police than in the navy. Opportunities for evidence to get "lost", for case paperwork to be "misfiled", etc.

CCJs would have been a factor had you gone for a post requiring DV clearance, its just mitigation against a risk factor.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
