Landmark Mortgages

Cannot get through on the phone to request 3 month mortgage break.  Mortgage due today. I am concerned if I cannot make payment today then I will be classed as mortgage not up to date and therefore will not be eligible. I have been trying constantly to get through. I note there is no further information on this website as it states TBC.  Please help.

    I'm fairly confident that during this crisis lenders won't be taking that position.

    You should obviously continue to try and make contact with them, but not being able to do so before the repayment is due, due to them being exceptionally busy, isn't a reason to decline the mortgage holiday.

    The mortgage holiday will impact your credit history, but the effect should be limited(no missed payments or defaults, just your balance not decreasing and repayments of £0)  and you won't be the only one. Your credit history can be amended if this mistakenly mark a payment as missed.

    It's a bit late to be asking (your mortgage company and us). I hope you managed to pay in time. I fear it might now be too late as the banks are shut.

    When were you first advised that you would need to make payment by today?
    When were you first aware you would not be able to make that payment?

    It's possible that the OP might have been aware for say a week, but unable to get through. I doubt they are setup to deal with the volume of requests, and they will know themselves how difficult it was or wasn't to make contact.

    I'd hope they cut the OP some slack if it was genuine difficulty in getting through or other extenuating circumstances (if OP has medical condition or reponsabilites to someone vulnerable, this should be mentioned)

    Thanks everyone.  Managed to pay March payment and got the 3 month break confirmed by text yesterday
